Growing up in the Caribbean means you become exposed to making a number of things passed on from one generation to the next. And making cocoa sticks was one of those traditions. I remember days when we would take the ripe cocoa pods from the tree and eat the white parts from the beans in the inside because they were so delicious.
I recorded the making of the cocoa sticks a while back and realized today that I had never shared that experience with my readers on the blog. I felt so much like having some hot cocoa tea today and remembered the oh so delicious smell of making the sticks.
So today I share with you the process of how we make cocoa sticks, for our hot cocoa tea, here in Dominica.
